Privacy Policy

How we handle personal data on this website, and the rights you have.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Who we are

This website, scealy.com, is run by Scealy Group Ltd., trading as scealy (“we”, “us”). We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 14258882, with our registered office at Hova House, 1 Hova Villas, Brighton & Hove, England, BN3 3DH. We decide how personal data collected through this website is used, which makes us its controller.

Questions about this policy or about your data: hello@scealy.com.

What this policy covers

It covers the personal data we collect through this website: when you browse it, when you send us an enquiry and when you email us. When we work for a client, the data we handle on the client's behalf is covered by our contract with that client, not by this policy.

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

When you send us an enquiry

The contact form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, company name and monthly advertising budget, and you can add a message. If you reached us from another website or from one of our emails, the form also passes on that website's address or the email's identifier. If you come to the form from our scorecard, your score is filled into your message, where you can edit or delete it.

We use these details to reply to you, to understand your business and to tell you whether and how we can help. Our legal bases are the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the consent you give on the form for us to keep your details in our CRM system (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us; this doesn't affect anything we did before.

When you email us

We receive your email address, your name and whatever you write, and we use them to reply. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you browse the site

To deliver the pages and keep the site secure, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time of the request. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our home page shows our Google Partner badge, which your browser loads from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address when the badge loads. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing a partner status that Google can verify (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Statistics and marketing cookies

Only if you accept them in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to see how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. These tools process your IP address, an identifier stored in a cookie, the pages you view and how you use them. Our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. If you don't accept them, these tools don't load at all. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

Links to other websites

We link to LinkedIn and to articles about us. Nothing from those sites loads until you click a link; after that, their own privacy policies apply.

Who else receives your data

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers below, who process it for us under data processing agreements, and with authorities where the law requires it.

  • MiniCRM Zrt. (Budapest, Hungary): our CRM system, where enquiries are stored.
  • Vercel Inc. (United States): hosts this website and, if your browser can't reach MiniCRM directly, passes your enquiry on to it.
  • Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC): our email (Google Workspace), the partner badge and, with your consent, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited: the Meta Pixel, with your consent.

Transfers outside the UK and the EU

We are based in the United Kingdom, and some of our providers are in the European Union or the United States. Transfers between the UK and the EU rely on adequacy decisions. For providers in the United States we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where the provider is certified under them, and on standard contractual clauses where it isn't.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and emails: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or ask us to delete them sooner.
  • If you become a client: contracts and billing records for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
  • Google Analytics data: up to 14 months. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy.
  • Server logs: for a limited period, under our hosting provider's own retention rules.
  • Your cookie choice: in your browser, until you change it or clear your browser data.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@scealy.com; we reply within one month, as the law requires.

If you think we have handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to a supervisory authority: in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), in Hungary the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (naih.hu), or the authority where you live or work in the EU.

Automated decisions

We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Children

This website is meant for businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
